Heavenly Father, whose Son Jesus Christ loved the young and called them to Himself, we ask You to bless Morgan and Aaron. Strengthen them in the faith through the Sacrament of Christ's body and blood so that they may grow spiritually and bring forth the fruits of faith in a life of love toward others to the praise and honor of Your holy name; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

You mention a new First Communion policy. I wondered if you would explain it. Thanks.
P.S. I confess, I'm also curious about the young lady and young man wearing albs. Are they the ones receiving their First Holy Communion? Thanks.

Our new policy is rather simple: When children and their parents desire it, they may undergo First Communion preparation with me (no age requirement). When they have demonstrated that they know the Ten Commandments, Creed, Lord's Prayer, confess the belief that the very Body and Blood of our Lord is given to us in the Holy Eucharist and desire to receive the same for the forgiveness of their sins and strengthening of their faith, and have been examined and absolved by me, they are welcomed to the Holy Supper.
As for the albs - those aren't albs, silly; they're acolyte robes. :) But, yes, the young lady and young man pictured are the ones who received their First Holy Communion yesterday.
