It was also very special to get to gather, and chat, with so many faithful pastors before the Service. I was blessed to meet in person for the first time many guys I have known only via the internet beforehand, and equally blessed to get reacquainted with many pastors and former profs I hadn't seen in a while.
After the Service (which lasted for about 2 1/2 hours, but didn't feel that way at all), we enjoyed the beer, brats, and entertainment for a bit before heading back to our hotel room for a much needed nap (Lisa's still napping as I write this).
Looking forward to Divine Service tomorrow at St. Paul's in Hamel.
Here are a few pics I took this morning (Lisa has more pics, but I forgot to bring the cord and have no way of uploading them to my mac - will do so later). For more pics, visit here, here, or here.
Pastors Wilken and Weedon looking over the Service folder with approval
McCain, Weedon, Wolfmueller, and Wilken - a pretty solid group of Lutherans!
Pr. Rossow worked the room doing video interviews
The two seminarians, who must have drawn the short sticks, trying to organize us for the processional - NOT an easy task! :)

I see Pastor Wilken chose to wear the smaller crucifix this time. And no surprise that Pastor McCain is messing with an electronic gizmo (an iPhone?), and Pastor Rossow with his ever-present reading glasses (I think he's onto something - he keeps his on all the time, whereas I'm always looking for mine).
