You have 'hit upon' the major problem--this kind of heresy will always be thrown upon us like garbage out of the upper floors of the whore house...but when our own Fathers (syond [sic] "leaders" [double sic] betray us with words of "peace peace, when there is no peace" it causes the rising tide of Jacobinism to bubble in droids and wookies like me! What good is synodical oversight if it is never used? What good are confessions if clergy within our synod are not held accountable to those confessions? I have seen many people find comfort and peace in our confessions after years of being broken by false teaching. Why do we so willingly fail them - and everyone else - by letting this teaching go unchecked?Vanessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03663415483489857539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2978485750390455025.post-83512578375061505022014-09-26T23:21:49.421-04:002014-09-26T23:21:49.421-04:00I think Herb's post isn't exactly shut up ...I think Herb's post isn't exactly shut up as it is go and actually talk to the person causing the offense. One I didn't see 8th commandment but I did see Matthew 18. Two, it seemed to be more aimed at people who were rude as opposed to those who were saying "Say what? That ain't right." I agree with Herb. My thing is I don't think the others are going to listen when we say that ain't right even if we were polite and collegial about it. Which isn't to say I think we should just blast them either.

I will speak and pray they listen.Pastor Bowmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00098215056265310660noreply@blogger.com
